Profiling Bed and Ceiling Hoist
The master bedroom in our Braunton Accessible Bungalow features a single low-profiling bed with a pressure care mattress, alongside a fold-out carer’s bed. A ceiling hoist runs from the mater bedroom into the ensuite wetroom.
Located in Braunton village, just a five-minute drive from Saunton Beach, this accessible holiday home provides a wheelchair-friendly stay for four to six guests.
Thoughtfully designed for accessible holidays, the single-storey bungalow includes a ceiling track hoist connecting the master bedroom to the ensuite wetroom. It is one of the few holiday properties in the area to offer both a profiling bed and a ceiling hoist.

Bedroom and Bathroom Details

Master Bedroom: This room offers a single Alerta Lomond low-profiling bed with an Alerta Sensaflex 1000 pressure care mattress and mesh bed rail bumpers. There is also a fold-out carer’s bed with a deep-sprung mattress, which can be removed if not needed. A ceiling hoist provides easy access from the bed to the ensuite wetroom, making it ideal for wheelchair users and mobility-impaired guests.

Twin Bedroom: The second bedroom features two electrically adjustable single beds (non-profiling), which can be arranged as twins or a double upon request. Built-in wardrobe space.

Ensuite Wetroom: Designed for ease of use, this wetroom connects to the master bedroom via the ceiling hoist. It features a shower, rails around the WC (with an seat raiser), a wheel-under sink, a shower seat, and a tilt-in-space chair with a commode.

Family Bathroom: For added convenience, there’s also an accessible walk-in bath, WC, and sink in the family bathroom.
Wheelchair-Friendly Kitchen
The modern, fully accessible kitchen is equipped with a motorised height-adjustable sink, a motorised height-adjustable hob, a tuck-away oven, dishwasher, remote-controlled extractor fan, and an easy-pour kettle. The breakfast bar has two convenient power sockets, providing an inviting space for accessible cooking and family dining.
Open-Plan Living and Dining Area
The open layout offers plenty of space for relaxation and entertainment. In the living room, you'll find a corner sofa bed (sleeps two) and an electric riser chair positioned around a smart TV on an extendable arm. Sliding doors lead to the outside patio and garden, making it easy to enjoy indoor-outdoor living.
Garden and Outdoor Space
Step outside to a sun-drenched deck that leads to a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and a fully enclosed, dog-friendly garden, ideal for relaxing with pets. To the side of the deck, there’s a utility shed with a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, iron, and ironing board for guest use.

Parking and Access Information
Situated within walking distance of Braunton village centre and just 1.3 miles from Saunton Beach, the bungalow is also conveniently on the main Stagecoach bus route, with stops for Saunton, Croyde, and Westward Ho! Guests have access to a private parking space outside the garage (garage not accessible) and ample street parking with dropped curbs nearby. The main entrance is wheelchair accessible, reached via a gentle paved slope with handrails on both sides. A 93cm-wide sliding door with a rubber threshold ramp opens into the open-plan living area.

Our bungalow welcomes all dogs, with no restrictions on numbers or breed. The secure garden is enclosed, and dog-friendly amenities are provided, including bowls, sofa covers, blankets, and optional crates (available on request).
Shopping & Grocery Deliveries
Tesco, Asda, and Sainsbury’s all deliver to our area. There is also a Tesco store with an accessible WC in Braunton.
