Our 4 berth Villas have one master bedroom with a king size bed and one twin room with 2 single beds. Our 6 berth Villas have one king and two twins, and the 8 berths have one king and three twins. The comfortable beds are dressed ready for a good night’s sleep. Each bedroom has either a wardrobe or chest of drawer space for storing clothing and belongings.

The majority of our Villas occupy a privileged and convenient location along the edge of the bottom car park at Saunton, beside Braunton Burrows. Our two Deluxe 4 berth Villas enjoy a prime location closer the the beach; simply head out of the gate and down the path to the beach. Each Villa has one reserved parking space, additional cars are welcome to park in the main car park.

Our 4 Berth Deluxe Villas, Dunes 1 and 2, are the site’s most popular Villas due to their location beside the beach, their premium interior, and their extra large gardens with decking and outdoor furniture. They also benefit from a private parking space away from the main car park.

Totally and Utterly Dog-Friendly

We know that your dogs are a huge and important part of your family and we want to make sure that their holiday is just as enjoyable as yours! With no upper limit on the number of dogs you can bring, nor any unfair restrictions on breed or size, you can rest easy knowing that your whole family will be welcomed with a smile.

Saunton Beach is dog-friendly all year round, meaning that whatever time of year you choose to holiday with us, you won’t be faced with restrictions on the beach. With 3.5 miles of golden sand to run along, the sea to splash about in, and the sand dunes to explore, Saunton really is doggy heaven! If your dog isn’t confident around crowds, you won’t find it hard to find a quieter spot further up the beach or in the dunes for them to have a great time.

Each Villa has its own fully enclosed fenced garden, allowing your dog to roam freely (and have a good sniff at the rabbits!). Our outdoor showers are ideal for washing off sandy paws and wellies after a good walk along the beach or through the dunes (they’re also great for washing wetsuits!).

Dog crates are available upon request, saving you space in the car for everything else. Upon arrival, our canine guests are treated to a Doggy Box complete with a range of treats, including an exclusive Saunton Beach Villas dog tag to wear with pride! We do not charge per dog per night – a £40 dog fee covers all of your dogs for the duration of your stay.

We take real pride in our dog-friendly credentials and strive to offer the best in dog-friendly accommodation in Devon. We are proud to have won Silver and Bronze awards in the Devon Tourism Awards’ “Dog-Friendly Business of the Year” category in 2020/21 and 2022/23 respectively.

A Base for Exploring North Devon and the South West

With Saunton Beach on your doorstep, you’ll be able to enjoy beach walks, surfing, sea swimming, and dog walks in moments. Saunton Sands is an idyllic 3-mile stretch of stunning golden sand with west-facing views across the Atlantic, making for what we think are some of the very best sunsets in the UK! On a clear day, Lundy Island is visible in the distance (day trips available from nearby Ilfracombe) and you can also take in views that reach across to Westward Ho!, Clovelly, and Hartland

Saunton boasts some of the country’s best surf which attracts surfers all year round. Saunton has a high tidal range of 8.5m, and is well known for its long, slow waves which are particularly popular with long boarders.

Did you know that Braunton Burrows is the largest sand dune system in England? Sitting at the core of the North Devon Biosphere Reserve, Braunton Burrows is the heart of the North Devon AONB (Area of outstanding natural beauty). The 1000 hectares of Braunton Burrows is a dedicated UNESCO Designated Biosphere Reserve, to protect the rare plant and insect life that inhabit it.
The South West Coast Path is a 630-mile route along the coastline of the South West. The 90 miles of the North Devon section faces mostly out towards the Bristol Chanel, taking you through some of the most picturesque locations in the South West; a total haven for walking enthusiasts! Explore breathtaking coastal views from Combe Martin, Ilfracombe, Lee Bay, Morte Hoe, and walk the golden sands of Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde – the South West Coast Path is waiting for you to explore it!
