Profiling Bed and Mobile Hoist

Stallards is a thoughtfully adapted, single-storey holiday bungalow in Braunton, offering accessible accommodation for up to four guests.

The bedroom features a single profiling bed alongside a standard single bed, with a mobile hoist available for guests who require additional support with transfers. The bedroom leads into an ensuite accessible wetroom, complete with a wheel-in shower with a tilt-in-space commode chair, a WC, and a basin.

In the main open plan living area you'll find a spacious kitchen diner and living room. The kitchen features a height-adjustable kitchen hob and sink unit for independent cooking and meal prep. The licing room features a sofa bed, a riser chair, and a smart TV.

Located in Braunton village, just a short drive from Saunton Beach, Stallards provides a comfortable base for wheelchair users, guests with limited mobility, families and carers looking to explore the North Devon coast.

Bedroom Details

The bedroom includes a single electrically adjustable profiling bed and a standard single bed. A mobile hoist is provided for transfers within the bedroom and wetroom.

Storage is available for guests’ clothing and belongings, with sufficient space around the profiling bed to assist with transfers and personal care.

The living room also includes a sofa bed, allowing the bungalow to accommodate up to four guests.

Accessible Wetroom

The accessible wetroom has been designed to provide space and support for guests with limited mobility.

It includes a level-access roll-in shower, accessible WC, wheel-under washbasin and support rails. A tilt-in-space shower and commode chair is also available for guest use.

The mobile hoist can be used within the wetroom where required.

Wheelchair-Friendly Kitchen

The accessible kitchen includes a motorised height-adjustable hob and sink, allowing guests to prepare meals from a seated or standing position.

The kitchen is equipped with the essential appliances and equipment needed for a self-catering stay, with an open layout designed to make movement between the kitchen, dining and living areas as straightforward as possible.

The open-plan living and dining space provides room for guests, families and carers to relax together.

The living area includes comfortable seating, a sofa bed and an electric riser recliner chair, positioned around a smart TV. The open layout provides space for wheelchair users to move between the living, dining and kitchen areas.

Stallards has a large private, enclosed garden, providing a secure outdoor space for guests and their dogs. In the garden you'll find a wheelchair accessible picnic bench.

The garden offers a peaceful place to relax after a day exploring Braunton, Saunton Beach and the surrounding North Devon coast.
