Saunton Beach Named One of Europe’s Top Dog-Friendly Beaches

Saunton Beach has been named one of Europe’s most dog-friendly beaches – featuring at number 5 on Wanderlust magazine’s “10 of the best dog-friendly beaches in Europe” list. This stretch of golden sand has become a firm favourite for four-legged beachgoers for several reasons:

  • Saunton Beach is dog friendly 365 days of the year
  • Stretching over 3 miles in length, there is space for everyone on Saunton Sands – even nervous or reactive dog owners will be able to find a quiet spot.
  • Did we mention how big the beach is?! At low tide, the sea sits about 500m from the high tide line, exposing nearly 3 million m2 of sand!

This recognition will come as no surprise to anyone who has visited Saunton with their four-legged friends. From sniffing the seaweed and splashing on the shoreline, to running free and zooming in the dunes, Saunton has it all for dogs and their owners.
